From the Family and Staff at Freedom Kennels

It is with great sorrow that we inform our customers and friends of the tragic accidental death of the founder of Freedom Kennels,
Peter Cornford

His family and staff will carry on his vision and make sure that his legacy of providing
"Great Family Dogs" lives on for generations to come.

Here are just a sample of the condolences we have received from this unfortunate accident

Hello,

It is with great shock that I have learnt via your website of Peters death as I was looking to see when your next dog get together is planned. We have a schnoodle puppy who is now 7 months old and we adore him ( mother Molly and father Choco) He is  a wonderful dog and our friends have a 5 month cavoodle from you as well and we were just saying on the weekend what a great job he is doing breeding such great pets.

There will be many thousands of families around Australia who will be shocked and saddened by this tragic news.

Please offer my thoughts to his family and friends.

 Best regards

Karen

Hi,

Please pass on my sympathies to Peter's family. I am so shocked!!
I went to the website for my regular browse and could not believe it.
I bought a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from Peter 18 months ago, he
made
it so easy, our pup is 1000km north of Perth and we could not believe
how
simple and helpful Peter made everything.
I hope Freedom Kennels does keep going and Peter will be sadly missed
by
lots of dog lovers everywhere.

Regards Lisa

To Peter’s family and colleagues

I was shocked to read about Peter on your website.  I look at your Website regularly.  I didn’t buy a dog from Freedom but I did ask Peter a couple of doggy questions via email.  He always responded very quickly.  My sympathies to his family and his myriad of fans.  He will be a great loss to Freedoms Kennels.

Regards

Lauren

We as a family were dreadfully sorry to see the news
on your web site about Peter dying.

We are constantly on the website
looking at all the puppies. I was very fortunate
to talk to Peter on numerous occasions before we bought our gorgeous
spoodle puppy Ellie born Nov 23 2007 and delivered
to us on 1st February this year. We cannot believe Peter has died
and our hearts go out to his family.
What a tragedy!!

Dear Valda & staff at Freedom Kennels,

We have just logged onto the FK website tonight and saw the tribute to
Peter.

We wanted to pass on our condolences to family, friends and staff members -
if it were not for Peter and his legacy to provide many people with 'great
family dogs' we would not have been blessed with our Jackroodle, Biscuit.

We hope that his legacy does live on, and that the good work FK does
continues into the future.

We are terribly sorry to hear of Peter's untimely passing and will be
keeping you all in our thoughts.

Kind regards, Claire & Aaron

I just wanted to add our condolences to Peter’s family and friends.

We met him at the park in Adelaide early this year, and could see
he was devoted to his kennels and the breeding of family pets.
We have recently purchased a puppy from Freedom Kennels and
were looking forward to meeting him again when we visit the kennels
next month.

Sadly this will not eventuate, however we still look forward
to our visit and eventually taking delivery of our long awaited mini Groodle.

Sincerely Rosemary and Graham

To  Peter’s Family & Staff

We are so sorry to read on the website about Peter.  Please accept our condolences.

We hope you continue with Freedom Kennels as we are very grateful for our little puppy Morello (Java’s M2).  We have only had him for 4 weeks but he is the most delightful social little puppy and has settled in very well in our family.  We are certain he had a very good start in life at Freedom Kennels.

 Kind Regards,

 Deborah, Peter & Sophie

Please accept our sympathy on the shock loss of Peter.

My parents bought their mini-labradoodle Jessie from Peter nearly 5 years ago, and she has bought so much love and joy to their lives. They have always been really impressed, as have I, with Peter’s commitment and integrity in his dealings with us, and the quality of the dogs from Freedom.

Our thoughts are with Peter’s family, with all associated with Freedom Kennels, and all the dogs. We assure you that we often think of Peter and Freedom Kennels when we laugh at the antics of Jess, or look with amazement as she sits in such complete dignity and contentment on my Dad’s lap.

The sheepdogs of my youth would not understand at all!

On behalf of the family from McLaren Vale, SA, we are so sorry for your loss of a unique man.

Cath and Bill Forrest, and Bob and Helen, and the beautiful Jessie.

To Peter Cornford's family and friends

I am really sad to hear about the tragic death of Peter.  I have just ordered a Spoodle from your website and received an email from Peter only last week to confirm the order.  We will think of him and his love of animals when we enjoy our puppy, due to arrive on October 3rd.

So glad to hear that Freedom Kennels will continue.  Have just recommended that a friend get her spoodle from you too.

Sympathy and best wishes

To family and staff.

It  was such a shock to read about Peter, I opened my web page this morning to send a photo of Missy a  toy cavoodle I purchased last year from Peter , she is turning one on Fri. I am so impressed by her she is an absolute treasure, I will send photo later as I was so taken back when I read about Peter, please except our condolences and I do hope Freedom Kennels will continue on in the professional manner in which  Peter operated this wonderful service. I never imagined I would buy a puppy off  the internet, but have recommended  you people to many of my friends and wish you all the best for continued success in Peter’s name.

Deepest Sympathy.

Dear family and friends of Peter,

We only brought our puppy Roxy 3 weeks ago from Peter, but over the last six months we have visited the pups on display many times until we choose Roxy, a groodle born on the 29 April. Peter was very helpful and answered many questions for us. Your beautiful family friendly dogs was the reason we choose Freedom Kennels. I am so sad to hear of the tragic accident.
My prayers and thoughts are with you at this very sad time.

I gave Roxy an extra special cuddle tonight.

Take Care

Caroline
